Dr. Yasi Gu
Specialist Orthodontist A North Sydney local, Dr Yasi Gu completed her Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours at the University of Melbourne before returning home to practise. She spent seven years across the Sydney Dental Hospital, private and corporate practice, then followed her passion into orthodontics, earning a Doctor of Clinical Dentistry (Orthodontics) from the University of Sydney.
Dr Yasi is a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists and the Australian Orthodontic Board, offering braces and clear aligners for children, teens and adults at Shore Orthodontics in Crows Nest.
Having had orthodontic treatment herself as an adult, she understands the questions patients bring, and meets them with a calm, approachable manner focused on healthy, confident smiles. Outside the clinic, she enjoys travelling, time with family and friends, and staying active with Pilates and jogging.

Originally from New Zealand, I have lived in Sydney since 2019 and bring over seven years of experience in dentistry, progressing from Dental Assistant to Senior Dental Assistant and Practice Manager.
I’m passionate about creating a positive experience for our patients, supporting our orthodontic team, and ensuring the practice runs smoothly.
Outside of work, I enjoy coastal walks, reading thrillers, watching documentaries, and spending time with my husband.

I’m Lisa, a Senior Dental Assistant with over seven years of experience in clinical dentistry. I’m passionate about orthodontic care, patient comfort, and supporting a smooth, efficient clinic.
Outside of work, I enjoy cooking, discovering new cafes and restaurants, staying active, and spending time with family and friends.

Hi! I’m Maddie, born and raised in Sydney, I’ve been working in the dental industry for over 9 years in various roles including Assisting, Administration and Theatre Coordination (I just really dig teeth..)
I’m thrilled to work alongside our dedicated team to offer top quality patient care, assist in managing enquiries for our Specialists, and keeping our busy front desk running smoothly.
Outside of work I’m a film/music buff and can often be found with an instrument in hand, be it a guitar or a TV remote!

Dental Assistant/Administrative AssistantII’m Maddie, originally from the UK, I found my passion for dentistry shortly after moving here. After 5 years in administration and theatre coordinating, I now thoroughly enjoying working as a dental assistant and providing hands on compassionate care for all patients. Gaining new knowledge and meeting new people is where I thrive. If I can make them laugh even better.
Outside of work, you’ll find my nose in a book, sitting at the piano, struggling with crochet or hiking with my fur baby.
OTHER SPECIALTIES
n 2005, Dr. Ikram completed his fellowship for the Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and began the specialist training course at King’s College, London. His groundbreaking research at King’s entitled ‘Micro-computed tomography of tooth tissue changes following root canal treatment and post space preparation’ was published in the International Endodontic Journal during his final year. This research enabled him to lecture in the United States of America and the United Kingdom.
The roles he enjoys most about his job are helping patients and educating other dental practitioners. Outside of the surgery, Omar has an interest in music and is involved in fitness training. He is also a keen follower of soccer and rugby, especially when the All Blacks are doing well.

Dr. Thao Truong
Oral Surgeon Dr Truong completed advanced training in surgical dentistry and oral surgery, developing expertise in wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, and management of complex oral conditions. Her commitment to evidence-based practice and patient-centred care ensures that each patient receives the highest standard of treatment.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr Truong is actively involved in dental education and continues to contribute to the advancement of oral surgery through teaching and clinical research.
